This is a ROM Hack, an exciting new story line previously unreleased!
Fire Emblem: Requiem is a completed fan-made ROM hack of Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade (FE7), originally released by creator Sacred Blaze in 2015. It features an entirely original story, custom characters, and modified gameplay mechanics while retaining the classic GBA-era aesthetic.
Story and Setting
Set on the continent of Emire, the narrative takes place 17 years after a massive "Great War" ended the reign of a tyrannical emperor.
- Protagonists: The story follows the two children of House Olva, Valentine (Val) and Ash, as they navigate a new conflict sparked by the rival House Egarde.
- Dual Paths: Similar to the original FE7's structure, the game is split into "Val Mode" (the first 9 chapters) and "Ash Mode" (the remaining 17 chapters).
- Tone: Players describe the plot as having a "bittersweet" ending and character depth that is often revealed through support conversations.
Key Features
- Characters and Classes: The game includes over 25 playable units [4.7, 4.12]. It introduces original portraits and animations, though it reuses many standard GBA sprites.
- Skills System: Unlike the original GBA games, Requiem implements a Skills system, adding a layer of tactical depth to unit management.
- S-Rank Weapons: Players have more opportunities to use powerful S-rank weapons compared to the official titles.
- Difficulty: The hack is known for a challenging early game. The prologue is notoriously difficult, featuring weak starting units that must survive a large number of enemies
